Team NiSCA and ExchangeIt host Educational Symposium
Portland, Oregon was the first stop for Team NiSCA and ExchangeIt during their road trip to educate channel partners as the newest card, software and printer technology surrounding card technology. The second stop was in New York City in the beginning of June. In all over 50 attendees arrived eager to learn.
On the agenda, a list of hot topics that kept everyone engaged and away from their Blackberry’s most of the time. The attendees included dealers, distributors, VARs and access control installers. Everyone had different ideas and perceptions of card technologies. The group discussed the fundamentals of contact vs. contactless technology; memory card vs. processor cards; and the favorite topic – HID iCLASS® vs. DESFire® technologies.
The overall focus of the event was to engage with channel partners and help them see the benefits of CardExchange® ExchangeIt’s software product integrating with the NiSCA in-line encoding and security printing products. Many attendees were surprised to hear about the large number of in-line encoding projects in Europe, Middle East and even here in the States that were using NiSCA’s direct-to-card printers with in-line encoders and MiFARE and DESFire cards. Re-transfer technology is not necessary and can be a burden to technology cards, especially if you are laminating the cards with a hologram or protective overlay.
CardExchange® proved to the attendees to be a highly versatile and robust software product that offers value add for the channel partners as well as ease of use for the end customer. With its encoding, push-pull database functionality, and modular structure it proves to be a true card management program.
