UV Printing
In an effort to increase the security of ID Cards, NiSCA now offers Ultra Violet (UV) ink printing in the PR5300 and PR5310 ID Card Printers. The inks are only viewable under UV or black lights and can be applied in a few different ways to offer customers integrated options of added security.
One option allows for the integration of variable text data to be "uploaded" to the driver and printed on the card by use of the color pallet. Another option allows the UV inks to print static text data or image data that can be placed on the card in any printable location.
The new UV security printing from NiSCA now provides large organizations the ability to add an additional security feature to their ID cards. Smaller organizations (less than 10,000 employees) usually find custom holographic images or pre-printed cards out of their reach due to large minimum order requirements, but the UV ink printing offers a more attainable - and secure - solution to decrease the susceptibility of cards to counterfeiting.
