NiSCA 2005 Results and Perspectives.

Since 1994, Team NiSCA, the industry leader in manufacturing high-end dye-sublimation ID card printers has supplied Corporations, Universities, Military and Government organizations with reliable cost effective ID card printing and security laminating solutions. NiSCA has the advantage of unsurpassed 300 dpi, 24-bit color and 256-grayscale-image quality with edge-to-edge color printing on CR80 and CR79 cards.

The combination of industry leading print quality, reliability, modular construction and inline contactless smart card encoding puts the printers in a very good position for many vertical markets. Team NiSCA had a record-breaking year for printer and consumable sales in 2005. Compared to the previous year our printer sales have increased by over 15%. New driver's license installations and a number of large corporate accounts have secured our growth.

In September 2005 at the ASIS International tradeshow, NiSCA was proud to introduce the new PR53LE single sided printer. The PR53LE joins the third generation series of NiSCA printers. In addition to the NiSCA famous quality advantages, it supports important security features, such as password protected security printing, which includes printer's serial number, model number, date of printing and variable demographic data.

The PR53LE is user friendly offering features such as automatic cleaning, industry leading easy ribbon change cassette, quick-change print head, and - as always - NiSCA’s easy to read and use 2-line LCD display. The new PR53LE offers easy to install USB drivers that are compatible with the latest Windows operating systems. Ideally suited to the education, corporate, government and sporting markets, the PR53LE provides the best combination of reliability, print quality and warranty coverage on the market today.

Team NiSCA has traditionally offered only dual sided printing and optional highly secure lamination products for the high end of the desktop card printing market. The PR53LE is a new venture for Team NiSCA. We have not offered a single sided printer before. Our entry into the single sided market was relatively easy to accomplish. The new printer has the same footprint as our highly successful dual sided PR53xx series, so our development costs were very manageable. Our goal was not to offer the lowest cost single sided printer, but to offer users of single sided printers a reliable option for higher output applications where NiSCA's print quality and reliability will offer a lower cost of ownership over the total life of our customer's projects.

Our customers are in the business of printing identity cards to secure their facilities and their people. NiSCA third generation printers offer the exclusive driver security feature, which allows printing the serial number, date, time and location of printing onto the card in visible and UV inks. This feature is not offered by our competitors. Our customers’ identity cards offer a visual representation of the company's identity. NiSCA's image quality has won many projects because of the 24-bit 300dpi color. This gives the customer the best opportunity to meet their corporate identity guidelines.

The NiSCA’s printing quality and reliability are evolving from the state of the art manufacturing process where quality assurance and environmental aspects are prioritized. NiSCA has obtained Quality ISO 9001 and Environmental Management System ISO14001 certificates. Now all NiSCA printers are RoHS (Restrictions of the use of certain Hazardous Substances) compliant. Customers in the corporate and education fields especially value the safety of NiSCA equipment.

We are expecting a very strong, with the double-digit growth year 2006. This estimation is based on some larger programs that were won in 2005, where our fastest dual sided printer PR5350 will be used. In addition, in the later half of 2005, Team NiSCA has signed numerous commitment agreements with existing and new partners, who will further increase NiSCA printer unit and consumable sales. We are looking forward to a very busy year in 2006.
