Team NiSCA wins transporation authority project!
June 2003, a major transportation authority rolls out its reduced fair photo ID card program with NiSCA Printers. An extremely challenging project, over 20 NiSCA printers and laminators are producing thousands cards per week.
The authority’s existing Cubic Transportation Systems infrastructure required a 10mil card. During the evaluation stages, the authority evaluated numerous printer solutions, but the NiSCA printers and laminators where the only units that could consistently print and laminate at a high level.
“The NiSCA printers and laminators have worked extremely well. The 10mil cards added many complexities to the project, but NiSCA’s engineers devised some simple solutions to make the project a success, says Rob Miskelly, TEAM NiSCA’s business manager.
The transportation authority is using the PR5100, the PR5101 laminator, and a customized PR5102 encoder to read data from a Cubic Transportation Systems magstripe format.
