New Modified Heat Roller Applies Overlay On Pure PVC With No Curling
NiSCA announces the release of a specialized version of its PR5101 heat roller. The new heat roller will be equipped with a decurling assembly designed to counter warping problems experienced in printing applications where pure PVC cards are being utilized. The modified heat roller will be essential in high volume platforms where materials cost is a central issue. Those printing under such conditions will have the ability to purchase and print on cheaper, more pliant and heat reactive cards without sacrificing print integrity, speed, or overall quality. The modified heat roller features a refined heat signature mapping index in conjunction with a decurling assembly which effectively corrects the natural tendency of card arcing resulting from heat exposure. The modified heat roller will be available for use in those applications where the Advantage 0.001" polyester "chip" is required and will be fully compatible with the PR5100's parallel processing ROM. A non-polyester blend card may now be used to produce a dual side print ID complete with overlay faster and flatter than was ever possible, thanks to this revolutionary design.
