IC Contact and Contactless Encoding
The Nisca PR5310, PR5350, and soon the PR-C101 offer options for MiFARE, DESFire, iCLASS, and IC Contact chip encoding. The unique feature that the Nisca solution provides is that all of these card technology encoders/readers are available in one simple to install unit. Coming in summer 2008, if you purchase a Nisca with a card encoder, the encoder will have the capability to speak to contact or contactless cards.
The design is quite simple and extremely durable. As you can image, a contact chip encoder obviously makes contact with the card so that power and data can be transmitted. With our competitors, their contact solutions have to be replaced after 10,000 to 15,000 insertions and as they fail, you run the risk of card and ink waste. The Nisca contact solution has been tested to over 200,000 insertions. Meaning that the Nisca solution is optimal not only for doing inline encoding during printing, but also acting as a card priming encoder where there is no printing done on the card.
The Nisca SDK (software development kit) provides all the details in order to use the inline encoding functions and it must be integrated by badging or access control software makers in order to work properly. The following software providers are currently supporting the Nisca SDK and will support your inline encoding projects: ExchangeIt, ImageWare, Lenel, NFive, ScreenCheck, SmartCentric, and Softwarehouse.
Please contact your Nisca sales representative if you have any questions about card technology or our software partners.
Team NiSCA Extends ExchangeIt Software Deal
Team NiSCA announced a partnership with ExchangeIT of the Netherlands to supply a Nisca Edition entry-level software package that will be bundled with the new PR-C101 printer at ASIS 2007. The response has been tremendous, so much so that Team NiSCA will begin to provide the CardExchange Entry NiSCA Edition with every printer sold.
The CardExchange® Entry - Nisca Edition utilizes a “Four Click” interface that affords the end-user a powerful yet easy to use ID-card production solution. It also includes a direct-connect link to MS Excel and CSV (Comma Separated) files that allows you to add and edit records in MS Excel files and add records to the CSV files. Embedded within this product is the WYSIWYG CardExchange Designer which provides advanced card design functionality along with a user-friendly interface that allows the client to quickly design, modify and manage multiple ID-card layouts.
As the needs of an organization change so does this software. The Entry edition can be easily upgraded to the Premium or Ultimate version and also allows for additional functionality with Plug-in Modules such as Auto Print Server, DB2, MS SQL, MySQL, Oracle, multiple databases connection, and smart card encoding.
